Receiving The National Television Award was the highlight of 2002 for David Dickinson and following that accolade and the soar away success of Prime Time Bargain Hunt, David was asked to appear on many and varied TV and Radio shows. In January 2003 David was further honored by being made the subject of This Is Your Life.
David was the guest of 'Parkinson' in April and building on his fabulous success David and has appeared on very different shows to the great delight of his wide fan base, who range from school age children to pensioners. 2004 was off to an immediate start as David sang in the New Year with Auld Lang Syne on BBC 1 and January's Star Portrait with Rolf Harris proved to be one of the most popular with TV audiences.

Michael Aspel actually caught up with David straight after one of the Bargain Hunt celebrity shows which netted over 8 million viewers.The surprisingly touching story of David's early life and meteoric rise to fame made for a most entertaining edition of This Is Your Life (02.02.03). Hot on the heels of the Bargain Hunt Christmas Special which landed a prime spot at 3.20pm
on Christmas day 2002 David appeared on the Patrick Keilty Almost Live show (BBC1) 24 January 2003, where Patrick showed that Radio Times poster! In the same week David made an early morning appearance on RI:SE on Channel 4 with Sue and Mel.

David Dickinson on Dom Joly show

BBC3 launched in February and David was one of the first celebrities to appear when

he guested on This Is Dom Joly. David wasn't shaken or stirred by Dom Joly's style and he countered all My Joly's jibs and clearly had the live and loud studio audience on his side. He was seen happily tapping a tambourine to the music of Ian Brown of the Stone Roses.
David appeared on the CBBC Saturday Show in March. He appeared throughout the live three hour show and proved he was game for anything. Fellow guests Mel C and the Mis-Teeq girls didn't even try to keep their hands off him. On Tuesday 18 March , David was the guest of the Johnny Vaughan Tonight show on BBC3.
April 19 2003 saw David appear on the top talk show 'Parkinson', David let his emotions show as he talked
openly and honestly about his worst moment spent in jail, his abiding love for his wife Lorne and his emotional first meeting with the half brother who for so many years he never knew he had. David relates the amazing story of his life from working class beginnings to successful business man and star of the small screen in his autobiography 'What A Bobby Dazzler'.

David met up with Terry Wogan on Friday 13 June when he guested on the Channel 5 chat show Terry and Gaby and sat in for Terry when he presented Points of View for BBC1 in September. Monday 22 September was the day David appeared as guest on the cult comedy show The Kumars at No 42. David and his fellow guest Patrick Stewart swapped catchphrases with David saying 'Make it so' and Patrick lending his Shakespearian stature to'Cheap as Chips' and 'Bobby Dazzler'.
A second series of Prime Time Bargain Hunt began with a whole five nights of live shows and then stirred some controversy with a show featuring 'drag queens' as the contestants. The third series followed hot on it's heels

It features shows filmed in Ireland, Scotland and New York and culminated in four consecutive nights of celebrity live shows for the BBC's 'Children in Need' charity effort.
David will attended National Television Awards 2003 as Bargain Hunt (last years winner) was nominated for an award for the second year running.
