I heard a music track with David's voice on it. Where can I hear it and
is it available to buy? A: A talented guy called Sheldon S made the track using samples of David's voice from Bargain Hunt set to the theme tune of the show. He named it 'Bargain Hunt Booty'. After sending a copy to www.david-dickinson.net for David to hear he sent a copy to fellow fan, top Radio One DJ Chris Moyles who has given the tune many plays on his afternoon show. | Q:
What item has made David the biggest profit? A: David says 'About fifteen years ago, on behalf of an American client, I flew to Australia and found a very exotic piece of Minton porcelain. A piece about four foot high. It was a peacock, probably one of their greatest pieces by a man called Paul Comolera, and I located this and sold it to an American for what seemed an enormous sum then, of about £25,000. And I suppose made a profit of 25-30% and was very delighted to do so. But a couple of years ago just one of those pieces sold in Christies for £95,000. So it just show you!' |
