Don't let all your antiques collect dust in the attic, when you can exchange them for cash......
Take money on the spot from a dealer OR if you think the item's worth more...
take a gamble at auction

David Dickinson is currently out and about nationwide filming a brand new TV show for ITV. The antiques based show named 'Dickinson's Real Deal' which will air every weekday afternoon on ITV as part of their autumn 2006 season follows the fortunes of people who have antiques to sell for which they are offered a cash price. Sellers have to decide whether to take a dealer's cash offer or gamble and put their item into auction.
David Dickinson says 'This is the programme that will level the playing field between dealers and auction houses,"
If the seller decides not to take the cash the show will follow the items through to auction. Has it been a shrewd decision! Will they come out with a profit, or was the dealer's offer the Real Deal after all!

David Dickinson is on hand to give advice and support. Filming has already turned up some great antiques pieces and seen some surprise decisions and excellent results.

Adopted as a baby David Dickinson looks for answers to many long asked questions about his roots.

David Dickinson was delighted when he was asked to take part in the latest series of BBC 1's genealogy show 'Who Do You Think You Are?' which helps celebrities trace their families and heritage. In each installment one of Britain’s best-loved celebrities traces their family tree to reveal the surprising, extraordinary and often moving stories of their ancestors
As fans of David will already be aware David was adopted as a baby, a fact he only came to learn by accident when he was about eleven years old. His adoptive parents told him that his birth mother was an Armenian called Eugenie Gulessarian who had lived locally. David Dickinson enjoyed a wonderful childhood in a warm extended family and it wasn't until he was in his twenties that he decided to track Eugenie down. David says "I think as a little boy, having found out that I came from this Armenian stock I've always wanted to know more about it and as I got into my twenties and thirties I did find out more but eventually that came to a stop. So I'm hoping that this programme will take me the full journey." Watch this great TV to follow David on his quest which geographically takes him to Turkey and emotionally brings him full circle, answering some long asked questions about his roots and leaving him with a deep sense that his ancestors ''toughness' and business sense has underpinned his life.

David Dickinson At 65
No Desire To Retire !
David Dickinson reached his 65th birthday this week (16 August), and he reveals he has 'no desire to retire' indeed he has never been busier. He is currently out and about nationwide filming his brand new series for ITV entitled 'Dickinson's Real Deal' which will air this autumn with a proposed afternoon spot every weekday. (More details soon).
David has already recorded an anticipated edition of 'Celebrity Family Fortune's' (see article below for more) and will be seen tracing his family tree in an installment of 'Who Do You Think You Are' later this year. An emotional journey and one which took him on a visit to Turkey.
Not one to be caught looking back too often David Dickinson told the Stockport Times "I have never been busier. My shows have been screened on BBC World and that has opened doors in America for me. Later this week, myself and my agent are meeting with an American producer in London to discuss a similar series which would be filmed sometime next year."

Happy Birthday To The Duke, Many Happy Returns.

Dealing With Dickinson Sold To USA
(13.01.06)

David Dickinson is delighted that the first series of his hit show 'Dealing With Dickinson' has been sold to BBC America. Programme makers Lion TV announced the success of their deal today, so American fans should check their TV schedules to see when the show will air in their region.
''Dealing with Dickinson" the six part prime time BBC TV show which began in July 2005 was a great hit with the British TV audience and generated a huge amount of mail to our site. The six hour long episodes followed the progress of six antique novices and enthusiasts as David mentored them as a team to buy and sell antiques for a profit. Viewers were shown a more serious side to David Dickinson as pressure grew and his own investment of £50,000 was at stake.
