Royal Marines Choose David Dickinson as Troop Mascot

David Dickinson said he is 'both honoured and humbled' to have been chosen by
an elite Marine Troop to be their official mascot.
Lt James A Feasey, OC 7Tp R Sqn, FPGRM emailed www.david-dickinson.net to say that he and his troop had chosen David Dickinson as their official mascot. He added "The reason we have chosen David Dickinson as a mascot is because his bubbly character is always a source of morale for the lads when we get the opportunity to watch any daytime TV and his catchphrases have become part of the Troop vocabulary. -The Troop decided that it would only be fitting for David to be our Troop Mascot as he has enriched the Troop's morale."
David Dickinson has written to the Marine's personally to thank them and told them that he is proud to support them and hopes that they 'all stay safe'.
Lt Feasey sent in the above photo of his troop both for inclusion on the website and for David to have as a keepsake. We are certain that visitors to www.david-dickinson.net join with us in wishing the men all the very best.

David Dickinson Does it Again!
(1 March 2010)

DICKINSON'S REAL DEAL WINS ROYAL TELEVISION SOCIETY AWARD
David Dickinson's hugely successful week day show Dickinson's Real Deal has picked up a prestigious Royal Televison Society Award. The competition for the award was fierce, with excellent numbers of quality entrants. Dickinson's Real Deal was up against the high profile BBC TV magazine show 'The One Show' in this annual, regional competition.
The award was presented on 26 February 2010 at the Watershed in Bristol. Regrettably David Dickinson was unable to attend to accept the award personally and says he is delighted with the award, the recognition for all the hard work that goes into the making of the show. He is always grateful for the support of the viewers and David Dickinson says he can't wait to get his hands on the trophy - no doubt to add to a collection which includes the National Television Award which he received in 2002 for Bargain Hunt.
Congratulations David. Another Bobby Dazzler!
