David Dickinson is an established antiques dealer with over thirty years experience in the trade. It's a job he loves and at his invitation I went to visit him and his stand at the Fine Art and Antiques Fair held at Olympia in London to see just what the day job entailed. While we there filming for 'Cheap as Chips' was taking place. See the video to see much more of David at Olympia.

Exclusive To This Site. The following photographs were taken at the Fine Arts and Antiques Fair at Olympia London, June 2002.

"Once a year I usually go to a major show like the Olympia. Ive just been there in June, sold a lot of goods, I was fortunate. Few quid in the pocket and I'll wait for it next year."

David points with pride at the other star attraction on his stand, a superb bookcase from one of his favourite makers Gillows of Lancaster. He's been able to enjoy this adorning his converted barn home for the early part of the year. Will he sell it for a profit, we'll see!

And for those of you with copies of his book 'The Antiques Buyer', some of the sale items will look very familiar.
