DAVID DICKINSON TELLS STUDENTS - BE SECURITY CONSCIOUS (7.11.03) |
| David Dickinson has teamed up with the Government by fronting an anti-burglary campaign aimed at students. At the launch today (7.11.03) at Manchester University, he said: "Students have always been my biggest supporters and I'm really pleased to be involved with this campaign to keep them safer. Many students don't realise how valuable their possessions are. CDs, DVDs, games and electronic goods in an unlocked student house could spell a real bargain to thieves. I want to get students thinking about what they own and how easy it is to look after it." Students across the 11 biggest university campuses in Britain will be targeted with crime prevention advice on beer mats, posters and bus tickets featuring The Duke. |

Watch Out For The Duke on News Year Eve! |
| The BBC have commissioned a special version of Auld Lang Syne, sung by celebrities to be shown across their network at three minutes past midnight, New Years Eve. Auld Lang Syne, performed by Rolf Harris, includes David Dickinson amongst a host of other TV celebrities in a style reminiscent of the BBC’s Perfect Day tribute several years back, with David joining in the chorus. If he sounds a little croaky, it's not that he is following one of his favourite singers Rod Stewart, it is because he was suffering with a heavy cold on the day of recording. | |||||||||||||
