David traveled down to London today to appear on the 'Johnny Vaughan Tonight'. You can see the show at 11.00 pm and 1.00 am on BBC 3 tonight! (18.03.03)
DAVID'S TAN PAY'S DIVIDENDS! (17.03.03)
David Dickinson, is noted for his perma-tan, and is in negotiations to be the face and body (!!!) of a major suntan oil company. David says his tan is now paying big dividends. He says "I'm in the middle of negotiating an advertising deal with one of the biggest suntan oil manufacturers in the world. " David has had a lot of jokes made about his trademark tan, and should be set to get the last laugh. He adds "So the tan much joked about by Terry Wogan - all that stuff about me being dipped in tea and being the love child of Peter Stringfellow and a mahogany hat stand - is now paying dividends. Big dividends Terry!"
David has also been approached to to promote spectacles, and could also launch his own line of clothes for a high street store.

NEW PRIME TIME BARGAIN HUNT SERIES STARTS THURSDAY

The new series will feature interesting and varied contestants including teams
of vicars, ice hockey players and the controversial drag queens (see feature
below).
David Dickinson will make a personal appearance at Pennington's, Mannigham Lane, Bradford on Sunday 23 March from noon. He'll open a 'Junk in a Trunk Sale'. The event described as 'an upmarket, indoor, car boot sale with a difference' is being held in aid of the Lord Mayor's Appeal. Ticket's can be bought in advance or pay on the door. 'Up off the sofa and get in there', bag a bargain and meet David in person.

and anyone can join in! All money raised from the auction goes to the Birth
Defects Foundation's Newlife Action appeal to help fund research into the
causes of birth defects. 350 celebrities have autographed special items, among

Sophie Dahl, Geri Halliwell and David Dickinson himself, in fact numbered
among this vast number of celebrities are everyone’s favourite stars

CELEBRITY FAME ACADEMY (07.03.03)
David was approached to appear in Celebrity Fame Academy, the fund raising BBC tv show for Comic Relief which will culminate on Red Nose Day (14.03.03). Sadly, prior work commitments meant he couldn't give the offer due consideration. What do you think Bargain Hunters would he have bobby dazzled the audience and judges?

REVEALS EVEN MORE IN THE RADIO TIMES !!!(07.03.03)
Surely David can't reveal more than he already has in the
Radio Times! Edition for 8-14 March has a fun interview with David on
page 35 and dares to compare Paul Martin of 'Flog It' with The Duke. Asking
'Who's that giving David Dickinson a run for his money?' - No worries.
You won't see David so much as breaking a sweat.
The Radio Times will have a more in depth feature on David in the 22-28
March edition, to coincide with the return of prime time Bargain Hunt
hosted by David on Thursday 3 April. Buy your copy from 18 March 2003.
David will be attending the prestigious TRIC (Television and Radio Industries Club) award ceremony this week, to be held at Grovesnor House. Bargain Hunt has been nominated for an award for best daytime television programme, and the winner is decided by a panel of industry insiders and experts.
As we reported last year, David is the new face of budget airline travel specialist's My Travel Lite and he is currently involved in promoting their low cost flights. His image appears on billboards, taxis and fans tell me, even buses! David is seen sporting a striking suit in their company colours of cobalt blue and orange pinstripe.
