DAVID GETS THE BIG RED BOOK (24.12.02)(02.01.03)

David was surprised by Michael Aspel and his big red book at the end of a live Bargain Hunt auction on 14 November 2002.
'This is Your Life' the famous tribute show on BBC 1 returned to our screens on Thursday 2 January and David was their very first subject. The story of David's early life and his meteoric rise to fame made an exciting and emotional show, it was great TV and highly entertaining.
Bargain Hunt experts, James Braxton, Phillip Serrell and Michael Hogben, were all at the aftershow party and have all been interested to read the report of the event on this site.

GET ON THE BARGAIN HUNT TRAIL (17.01.03)


After a well earned rest, sunning himself in Malaysia, David Dickinson is back at work, out and about filming the new prime time series of Bargain Hunt. The latest schedule of venues is below.

This site announced last month that Tim Wonnacott was to be the new presenter of daytime Bargain Hunt (see item below) and now Tim is out at fairs and auctions up and down the country filming his first series which will air at the end of February. Tim says "I've been with the Antiques Roadshow for five or six years, but I was delighted to have been asked to present the daytime episodes of Bargain Hunt. Bargain Hunt is an interesting show because it sort of works in reverse. Most people buy items at an auction and try to make a profit on them at an antiques fair, rather than the other way round."

THE NEW FACE OF DAYTIME BARGAIN HUNT (15.12.02)

We would like to announce that David Dickinson will pass the reins of daytime Bargain Hunt to Tim Wonnacott who is to become the future (daytime) host, and will commence filming very soon.

The Official David Dickinson Website has got a whole new look. Not just the titles have changed, every page has been revised and updated and in response to visitor demand new pages have been added. 'FAQ' where your frequently asked questions are answered, 'The Duke' where you can get up close and personal with David.
